 Welcome to my Practice.

My name is Celina Pipman, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in the Hurley-Kingston area, NY. I have been practicing psychotherapy for more than thirty-two years and have gained a deep understanding of treating anxiety and depression.

It’s been almost six years since the pandemic, and its effects are still with us. Life was already busy before, but now it feels even faster. During the pandemic, everyone’s routines changed, including in our own therapy practices. It took a lot of effort to adjust.  The crisis changed how we live, work, and connect with others. Because of this, more people have struggled with depression and anxiety, often fueled by fear, confusing news, social media, and big changes to daily life.
It was overwhelming. Many people faced deep losses and didn’t get the chance to grieve as they needed. Some relationships ended, and many had to start over. Still, there were positives—some discovered their own strength, resilience, and the support of their community. We all learned a lot about ourselves and those around us during that time.

Life continues to speed along almost at the speed of light, and it’s easy to miss the signs to slow down and pay attention to our feelings and needs. Therapy can help with this. It’s a space for open conversation, where you can become more aware and flexible, and learn tools to handle tough times. You might want to talk about why you’re hesitant to try something new, relationship issues that are holding you back, parenting challenges, setting boundaries, finding a creative outlet, or caring for aging parents.

Working with an experienced therapist can make a real difference. It gives you a chance to share what’s on your mind with someone who understands. Therapy helps you make sense of complex issues, connect the dots, and can change how you think, feel, and relate to others.
If any of this sounds familiar, I invite you to reach out for a consultation.

As an immigrant myself, I understand and respect different cultures and beliefs. I aim to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space in my practice. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, and you can choose between telehealth or in-person sessions. I offer therapy for individuals and couples.
Take care and stay well.
